This site covers things you can use in your own fiction toolbox to grow yourself as a writer and improve your skills. I feel it important to tell you about the person behind this site.
I’m Patti Stafford (aka KP Stafford). I am not an expert in writing. Writing fiction and learning new skills in fiction writing is an on-going process. Sometimes it’s a long road that can be very lonely. I’m mostly a motivator. I can’t turn you into a great writer. You have to do that on your own. What I can do is motivate you to keep taking steps forward, keep practicing, keep working at it.
I’m also not an A-List author, and for now, I don’t inspire to be. My target audience likes quick and easy reads, stuff that isn’t too complicated, but is also fun to read and nice to curl up with at the end of the day. So there’s no sense in me trying to write the next War and Peace epic novel when my target readers prefer Warmth and Peas…with a little cornbread thrown in for good measure.
If you’re on this journey to self publishing and building your own lifestyle and career in fiction writing, hopefully you’ll find some useful stuff here. Remember, you can adapt things to work with your style. Nothing (much) is set in stone. Writing is a journey with a lot of tourist sites along the path. Enjoy what appeals to you, skip what doesn’t.
